We are currently seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our finance team on a temporary ongoing basis. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's credit and collections process.
Job Summary:
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining strong relationships with clients. You will work closely with internal teams to resolve payment issues and minimize bad debt risks.
Duties:
- Monitor and manage overdue accounts, contacting customers to secure payment.
- Issue reminder letters and statements to customers regarding outstanding invoices.
- Negotiate payment plans with customers and follow up to ensure adherence.
- Investigate and resolve queries relating to non-payment of invoices.
- Collaborate with the sales team to address customer disputes and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions.
- Prepare reports on the status of outstanding debts for management review.
Experience:

Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.

Familiarity with accounts payable processes.

Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Xero experience would be advantageous.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
