Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their dynamic conveyancing team on a 10-month contract. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to conveyancers and assist in the efficient processing of property transactions. Duties for the Legal Secretary will include but not be limited to the following:

Provide administrative support to conveyancers, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining electronic and physical files.

Draft and prepare legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and other conveyancing-related paperwork.

Assist in the preparation of completion statements and reports for clients and banks.

Conduct research and gather information on property-related matters as required.

Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties to facilitate smooth transactions.

Maintain an organised case management system and track deadlines to ensure timely processing of transactions.

Handle phone calls and administrative tasks, ensuring a professional and friendly demeanour at all times.

Assist with the onboarding of new clients and maintain client records in accordance with firm policies and regulations.

Keep abreast of changes in property law and conveyancing practices to provide accurate information to clients and colleagues.
The ideal candidate for the Legal Secretary role will have the following:

Previous experience as a legal secretary within a conveyancing environment is essential.

Knowledge of the conveyancing process and relevant legal terminology.

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and dealing with clients.
Hours for this position are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
