They work primarily on major infrastructure projects providing groundworks and civil engineering expertise. Sectors include residential, commercial, public, technology, infrastructure and data centre markets offering a broad range of services including civil engineering, utilities and construction.
About the role
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be required to provide commercial support to the project team, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and ensure objectives are achieved. This role will be suitable for someone who has a strong utility and construction background. You will be doing forecasting, CVR’s as well as managing the supply chain mentoring a small team. Projects will include gas and electrical packages and both NEC and JCT contract experience would be ideal. This role will involve managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors. There will be scope for career progression in the role with a company that has an excellent reputation in the industry and is very forward thinking. This role will involve travelling all over the UK to various sites.
Rewards and benefits
You will be joining a company with an excellent reputation and will be rewarded with a competitive salary of between £75,000 and £85,000 depending on experience. The position will include a car or car allowance and healthcare and pension contribution.
Requirements
You will be degree qualified and have an excellent knowledge of the utility and major infrastructure sector. A minimum of 5 years experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role is required and a working knowledge of contract law and commercial practise is essential
