Business Development Manager – Homebased
Location: Homebased with UK wide travel
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Commission + Benefits
Contract: Full time, Permanent

Ideally, you have a strong pharma/ medtech background, coupled with evidenced successful new business sales experience.
You will also have a proven track record of winning and developing business within the Pharma/ MedTech/ Healthcare sector.
You're inquisitive by nature and love to understand the challenges your clients face, enabling you to partner with them in a consultative way to ensure you deliver value.
You're someone who loves targets and strives to exceed expectations. You are meticulous with forecasting and consistently deliver on those forecasts.

Working with clients and our internal teams, your main responsibility as our Business Development Manager will be to identify and secure new business growth and repeat business in existing & new accounts across the Pharma, Med Tech and Bio Tech industries.
In addition to the above as our Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:
- BDM is responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual target achievement
- Develops and maintains a deep and wide knowledge of the accounts and is able to understand their brand strategies, priorities and needs, turning them into business opportunities;
- Anticipate clients’ needs, develops and presents proposed solutions to client's complex business issues;
- Based on long term relationship with client, act as an adviser
- Originates and manages the development of large deals with clients for their solution
- Timely updates CRM platform with regard to opportunity pipeline and call plan
- Constantly monitors client satisfaction and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction
- Works with the wider HSJ business to ensure cross selling and upselling

In order to be successful in this role it’s essential that you have:
- Pharma/MedTech/BioTech/Competitor experience or selling similar product range to pharma/medtech industry
- Demonstrable success in new business sales, with achievement of target and significantly growing new business in previous roles
- Passion for data, insights and the value it adds to every aspect of business
It would be great if you had:
- Product, Sales or Brand Management experience in Pharma/MedTech/BioTech
- A genuine interest in healthcare and the NHS
