About the Role
This is a shift-based team leader role that will manage a mix of operators, electrical and mechanical operator technicians based at our Trafford Park Mill in our converting hall.

What You Will Do
Reporting to the Operations Leader, you will be responsible for front line leadership of the crews to ensure optimum safety, quality, machine efficiency and machine performance through ensuring correct running standards.
You will also be managing the skill development of the crews – setting out and delivering on capability development plans focused on skills manufacturing. You will be responsible for regular 1:1 with your crews, managing time and attendance and addressing any performance related issues.
Who You Are
First and foremost, you will need to be able to demonstrate clear potential for being a successful leader. You may be able to show this from being a line leader or managed projects, or led the way in quality or safety. As a result, you will have the following attributes:

Previous experience in a similar industry (FMCG) operating at a Team Leader level

Experience with accountability for people management and development, safety, and quality (desirable)

Demonstrate knowledge and application of continuous improvement methodologies (eg: root cause analysis, LEAN, 5S)

A forward thinker, you thrive on resolving problems and can create and maintain an environment of learning and skill development in a busy production environment

You will have great interpersonal skills - be an effective communicator, and active listener, and able to give constructive feedback in an engaging manner

You will have proven experience of delivering successfully in a change environment (whether in training or other areas of responsibility)
