Job Description:
As a Construction Commercial Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the commercial aspects of our construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be instrumental in managing costs, contracts, and negotiations, while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the commercial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.

Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

Oversee cost planning and budgeting to ensure financial control and project profitability.

Conduct regular financial reviews and prepare detailed reports for senior management.

Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.

Identify and mitigate commercial risks.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Contribute to the development and implementation of commercial strategies to support business growth.

Support the project team in delivering high-quality homes on time and within budget.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in the construction industry, preferably in house building.

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in financial management and reporting.

Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.

Knowledge of Yorkshire’s rural property market is a plus.
