Job Title: Payroll Manager
Salary: £50,000 (p.r)
Location: London
Hybrid: 4 days in office and 1 WFH.
JGA is collaborating with a fantastic, well-known business to find a Payroll Manager for the UK on a 6 month contract.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK and US legislation.
Manage the preparation and submission of monthly payrolls, including calculations for overtime, bonuses, and other variable elements.
Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, wages, and statutory payments.
Collaborate with UK and US payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate data processing.
Ensure payroll operations comply with local regulations, including RTI submissions and PAYE requirements in the UK.
Prepare and submit statutory returns, such as P11Ds, P60s, and annual returns.
Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation in both the UK and US to ensure ongoing compliance.
Work with payroll providers to maintain and update the payroll system, ensuring data integrity and security.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations, and address employee queries promptly.
Identify and implement process improvements and best practices in payroll management, and develop and document payroll procedures and policies. Requirements:
3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Payroll Certification (CIPP) required.
Experience with US payroll preferred.
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in managing processes and analysing problems.
Able to work independently, handle confidential information discreetly, and act with discretion.
Experience with managing expenses, benefits, and their tax treatments.
Competent IT skills, including proficiency with payroll software.
