About The Role
Job Overview:
The Canteen Manager at Morrisons Logistic (Distribution) Site will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the staff canteen. This role involves overseeing daily food service operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene, managing staff, and maintaining a welcoming and well-organised environment for all employees. The Canteen Manager will work closely with the team to align the canteen services with the overall goals of the distribution site.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the canteen, ensuring smooth service and high customer satisfaction.
Menu planning:ensuring all dietary needs of employees.
Monitor stock levels, place orders for food supplies and other necessary items, and ensure efficient stock rotation to minimise waste.
Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule canteen staff, ensuring adequate coverage at all times.
Foster a positive working environment, provide ongoing training and development opportunities, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Prepare and manage the canteen budget, control costs, and.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the canteen and kitchen areas.
Address employee feedback, complaints, and suggestions in a professional and timely manner to improve canteen services.
Ensure all food served is of high quality, nutritious, and presented appealingly.
About You
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a high-volume environment. Experience in a canteen or corporate dining setting is a plus.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in budget management and financial reporting.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
Familiarity with food service equipment and technology, as well as basic computer skills.In return we will give you:-
