What you'll get to work on:
Lead a team that are multiskilled, competent and compliant with the commitments set out in our Safety Case.
Accountable for the efficient delivery of work by internal and external workforces ensuring quality assured work as well as delivery on time and within budget
Area Asset Health Stewardship & associated performance of our assets as well as management of our critical sites
Develop multiskilled resource roles within your team and resolve reactive technical issues and asset failure across area of responsibility
Manage delivery relationships with other business areas, such as Customer Operations, Capital Delivery and Future of Gas and manage third party requests for access to the Cadent network
Support the development of the Annual Maintenance Plan by the Investment Portfolio team
Inform decision making on the appropriate work delivery route (insource, outsource, capital, O&M)
Drive data capture, including asset condition, faults, etc. and ensure quality of reporting and contribute to Policy, Procedure & Technical reviews Who are we looking for: Qualifications
Engineering Degree/HNC/SNVQ/NVQ or equivalent operational experience in the utilities industry supported by relevant training or qualification
NEBOSH
SCO AE & CP and G17 Practical Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of gas plant and systems, HSE regulations relevant to role (e.g., PSSR, COMAH, PSR), application of Process Safety Principals
Leadership experience with contract management, and influencing/negotiating skills to build and maintain effective relationships across all stakeholder groups to deliver business outcomes including our Trade Union partners
An understanding of relevant codes of practice, engineering instructions safety and statutory regulation
Experience in managing a large, geographically dispersed workforce in a safety-conscious and high risk environment
Confident understanding of, CDM, SCCF, SCO and Safety Management Systems and Planning and Resource Management processes
Ability to consider commercial aspects of our decisions and be an “intelligent buyer” for services from internal stakeholders and external organisations with experience of continuous improvement techniques to drive incremental and step change improvements in performance
