We are looking for an Import Account Manager for our client, based in Leeds. This role involves managing the full journey for the transportation of goods from the Far & Middle East to the UK via Sea, Air and Road.
This role requires someone with previous experience in imports, ideally from a logistics business. This is a fast paced role so we are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and great at building relationships.

Main duties to include;
Manage a shipments for a wide range of customers, building relationships and ensuring repeat business
Booking a pricing shipments from the Far and Middle East to the UK
Following up on quotes and confirming orders
Build relationships with carriers and obtain the best prices
Ensure all shipments have the correct documentation and customs entries
Keep customers informed of any changes to delivery dates or issues
Monitor shipments to ensure safe arrival
Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure repeat business We are looking for:
Experience in an imports role, ideally for a logistics business or freight forwarder
Experience in sea, air or road freight
A problem solver, someone who keeps calm under pressure and finds solutions
Excellent attention to detail
Strong relationship building and customer service skills In return you can expect:
