Technical Sales Engineer

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven External Sales Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our range of sensors, switches, valves, and actuators to new and existing customers. The role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories and industries.
Provide technical expertise and support to customers, understanding their requirements and recommending suitable products and solutions.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, and procurement personnel.
Prepare and deliver accurate and timely quotations, proposals, and contracts.
Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, customer service, and marketing, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote our products and services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the instrumentation and flow control industry.
Strong knowledge of sensors, switches, valves, and actuators.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them to non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
