Job Purpose: To maintain and improve production processes and implement new technologies to improve working practices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.

Introduce new processes and products.

Introduce new technology to improve productivity and quality.
-
Identify and realise material/labour saving initiatives (VAVE).
-
Support prototype and proof-build activities.
-
Creation and maintenance of build instructions, process control documentation and databases.
-
Help resolve manufacturing issues through liaison with relevant departments.
-
Work on specific projects defined by the Production Engineering Manager.
-
Effective project participation and representation.
-
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental procedures & requirements.

Support of Blackpool and USA sites where necessary
Essential qualifications and experience:
-
Knowledge of lean principles and VAVE
-
Knowledge of single line manufacturing processes
-
Familiarity with steel fabrication, chassis manufacture, electrical and hydraulic components.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role & industry.

Microsoft office proficient. Inc. Excel, SharePoint & List

Project involvement including new product and process introduction

Creation of build instructions.

Experienced in improving manufacturing processes

Experience in digitalising manufacturing and departmental processes

Experience in mechanical design
-
Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical)

High standard of report writing and presentations.

Well-developed problem solving and fault-finding techniques E • Work within a demanding environment

Managing individual workloads and time scales against project objectives.

Management of internal and external suppliers.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
