Job Description
This is a project role. The project is for the construction of a, first of its kind, large diameter, high-pressure, cross-country pipeline in the northwest of England.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Project Manager - Pipelines will be responsible for the strategy, planning, execution and control of the approximately 35km long pipeline project.
The role will require the appointee to provide leadership to all personnel on the project and, working closely with the wider project management team, manage the delivery of the pipeline scope of work which includes a mixture of approximately 300 direct employed staff and multiple specialist subcontract support.
Experience Needed:
Exceptional technical knowledge of the planning and consenting process applied by Development Consent Orders and the application to cross country pipelines.
Proven ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making.
Sound industry based legal and contractual understanding.
Extensive years of project management experience for cross country pipelines.
Previous experience working as Senior Project Manager or similar with a good understanding of all disciplines and their part in the overall project execution.
Skilled in identifying, handling, and mitigating technical risk in construction projects.
Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium period and to travel nationally.
Qualifications
Minimum 25 years industry experience
Chartered Engineer or equivalent industry experience.
Management experience with the ability to influence at all levels
Experience of a similar role
Sound legal/contractual knowledge
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Valid driving licence

This job is a full-time role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Warrington Office
