Job Description
The project is for the construction of a, first of its kind, large diameter, high-pressure, cross-country pipeline in the northwest of England.
Reporting to the Director for Major Projects, the Project Technical Director will be responsible for the strategy, planning, execution and control of the engineering and construction aspects of a major infrastructure project.
The role will require the appointee to provide leadership to all personnel on the project and, working closely with the wider project management team, manage the Principal Contractors duties on an EPC contract.
Experience Needed:
Global experience and mindset including a high level of technical knowledge.
Exceptional leadership, influencing and relationship building skills.
Proven ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making.
Proven track record in the management of engineering, procurement and construction contracts for cross country pipelines
Extensive years of pipeline engineering experience in various technical disciplines.
Previous experience working as Project Technical Director or similar with a good understanding of all disciplines and their part in the overall execution.
Skilled in identifying, handling, and mitigating technical risk in construction projects
Commissioning experience an added advantage
Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium period and to travel nationally.
Qualifications
Minimum 25 years industry experience
Chartered Engineer or equivalent industry experience.
Professional membership of appropriate body
Leadership experience with the ability to influence at all levels
Experience of a similar role
Excellent legal/contractual knowledge
Wide ranging industry experience
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Valid driving licence

This job is a full-time role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Warington Office
