Senior IT Support Engineer
Location: Preston
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
My client is looking for a Senior IT Engineer responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing technical support to the internal IT team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of business-critical 3rd Line support tickets and see them through to resolution.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd Line Support across all technical areas.
- Actively oversee the deployment, planning, and upkeep of software and hardware in collaboration with the IT Manager.
- Take a proactive approach in maintaining Active Directory, Office 365, Group Policy, user accounts, and file security permissions.
- Oversee IT projects, working closely with the IT Infrastructure Manager to implement effective technical solutions.
Requirements:
- Possess hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 system administration
- Have a solid understanding of Windows Server, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, and IP configuration
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and a flexible approach to work
- Be proactive and able to multitask effectively
