BRIEF
The Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance and growth within the Northern England and Scotland designated territory. Your primary goal will be to increase sales revenue, build and maintain customer relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction. Drawing on experience and skills from a sales and commercial background you will have knowledge of a wide variety of customer channels including retail showrooms, electrical wholesale, interior design, hospitality, electrical wholesale and online. The ideal candidate will be proactive, driven, commercially aware and have a determination to succeed, these characteristics will determine the successful applicant, not necessarily experience of the decorative lighting sector.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
A pro-active and proven approach to sales, with a strong desire and ability to win and grow new business.
Experience of working in a target driven sales role (your drive to achieve this should be unwavering).
Ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring repeat business and generating new leads.
Strong organisational and communication skills, combined with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.

POSITION SUMMARY
Home and field based role covering Northern UK including Scotland.
Fully expensed Company Car, Phone & Laptop
Full product training to ensure you have the knowledge to succeed and maximise profitability within a large and promising territory.
In this key role, you will spend four days a week visiting customers and potential customers and one day per week is reserved for appointment planning and administration duties.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Willingness and ability to develop new business sales strategies and proactively maximise every opportunity to grow sales in your designated area through existing and new customer relationships.
Monitor and analyse sales performance, determining and implementing strategies to meet changing market conditions.
Collaborate with the sales team and senior management to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the company
Develop key customer relationships, understanding and advising on strategy to build and enhance the supplier / customer partnership with a view to maximising sales opportunities.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to remain at the forefront of the UK Lighting Market.
As necessary, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
Provide regular updates to the Director of Sales UK & Ireland.
Submit expenses on Sage HR and submit regular mileage sheets, operating within agreed expense guidelines.
Keep any company car under your care clean, tidy, smoke free and roadworthy at all times by ensuring that all maintenance requirements are adhered to, as and when required.
