A well-established company are seeking a ShippingAdministrator to join their team.
Your new role
As the Shipping Administrator, you will be responsible for:
Responsibility for & ownership of onward delivery processes
Ensuring deliveries are completed on time
Providing business updates on shipments to support revenue recognition
Managing supporting shipping and banking documentation
Managing Ad hoc shipments for manufacturing
Booking of deliveries according to customer & revenue requirements
Daily imports & management of import register
Updating weekly report on period's shipments
Letters of Credit management
Application of Chamber of Commerce documents
Manage OTC shipments
Preparation of the Norwood shipment consolidation
Ad hoc support to Dynamic Systems shipments
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful inapplying for the position of Shipping Administrator you will have thefollowing:
Understanding of product shipment procedures (import & Export) including awareness of incoterms
Knowledge of Letters of Credit (not essential but preferred).
Keenness tolearn and develop new skills
Sound analytical and interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
A good demonstration of prioritisation within a multi-function role.
Strong communication skills, internally and externally, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial departments.
A high standard of computer literacy, including Excel/Word at an advanced level (V lookup's essential)
Finance and shipping experience ideally whilst dealing with global shipments by air and sea.
