Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential
Location: East Midlands Region
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

As we grow over this next year, we have exciting opportunities available for Registered Managers to join the 5ab Care team! We would be looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for all.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strong leadership and management to the team, fostering a positive and supportive working environment.

Develop and implement care plans, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and best practice guidelines.

Ensure the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of children and young people are met

Lead by example, acting as a positive role model and promoting a culture of respect, equality, and inclusion within the home

Maintain effective communication channels with staff, young people, families, and external agencies to ensure the holistic needs of each child are met

Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff, providing regular supervision, support, and performance management

Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements and innovations to enhance outcomes for our children and young people

Manage budgets, resources, and facilities effectively, ensuring the smooth running of the home

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including care plans, risk assessments, incident reports, and staff training records

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, legislation, and safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements:

Level 5 or above, or close to completing, in Leadership and Management in Children’s Residential

Proven experience working at a managerial level within children's residential care, with a strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory frameworks

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, including local authorities, health professionals, and education providers.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
