We are looking to recruit an experienced, engaging, versatile and dependable Accounts Assistant to work for a UK leading manufacturer and supplier of recyclable corrugated polypropylene solutions in the UK.
The team is a very supportive one, dedicated to doing a great job and are looking for a colleague with the same attitude and outlook!
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000

28 days holidays (inc bank hols)
Hours: Mon-Fri 37.5hrs per week
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Sales Ledger management including Credit Control
- Purchase Ledger management including payment runs
- Payroll & Personnel
- Collate weekly time recording data, reviewing and agreeing with Operations management
- Process worked hours etc data into payroll and ensure accuracy and timeliness through to preparing payment
- File records with HMRC as appropriate
- Maintain records and files of all payroll related data including –
- Absence recording
- Holiday bookings
- Preparation of letters and supporting documents to candidates, leavers, disciplinary matters etc
- Ensuring all new starter documentary requirements are completed
- All general payroll data management
- General Company Records and ad hoc tasks
- Maintain files and record keeping in line with needs – including retention documents in line with statutory requirements etc and disposal when no longer needed
- Contribute to maintenance of Continuous Improvement recording and documentary compliance
- Manage stationery orders/requirements
- Provide data and reports as and when requested
- Covering team holiday absences etc
- All other tasks reasonably requested of you
Key skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Awareness of applicable taxes and duties – e.g. VAT pertaining particularly to sales and purchases
- Competent user level with Microsoft Office suite and similar products
- The ability to work quickly and methodically to hit deadlines and time guidelines with great problem solving skills
- Numerate
- The ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
- Able to present findings and explain clearly and concisely
- Work well within a Team with a positive energy & commitment to the role
- Willingness to build know-how
- Self-starter and motivated
