Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic Commercial Manager / Estimator / Quantity Surveyor. This multifaceted role involves managing commercial aspects, estimating project costs, and ensuring meticulous quantity surveying throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management, estimating, and quantity surveying within the steelwork fabrication industry. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Management:

Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimise project profitability.

Oversee contract negotiations and mitigate risks.

Monitor project budgets and expenses.

Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.

Lead commercial negotiations and dispute resolution efforts.
Estimating:

Analyse project specifications to estimate costs.

Prepare competitive bids and proposals.

Utilise software to generate precise cost projections.
Quantity Surveying:

Perform quantity take-offs and measurements.

Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.

Conduct cost analysis and value engineering assessments.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of industry experience.

Proven experience in commercial management, estimating, and quantity surveying.
