My Client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with 3-5 years of experience to manage all costs relating to a fit out project in East London from the initial calculations to the final figures. The successful candidate will minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation and Budgeting: - Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs.
Tender Preparation and Analysis: - Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with them.
Contract Management: - Manage contractual relationships between clients and contractors.
- Oversee contract execution to ensure compliance with contract terms.
Project Management: - Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits, assessments, and projections for future work.
Cost Control and Financial Reporting: - Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
- Prepare regular financial reports to update stakeholders on project cost status.
Risk Management: - Identify, analysw, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.

3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
