Reports to: Production Manager
Role Overview:
As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be the go-to expert for driving efficiency within the Production department. Your main responsibilities include identifying cost and waste drivers, leading improvement projects, and supporting production teams to achieve top performance. You will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing production efficiency, reducing waste, improving quality, minimising downtime, and optimizing plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Champion the continuous improvement agenda alongside the production management team.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis with cross-functional teams.
Drive change management by gaining buy-in from operators and implementing necessary changes.
Customer Service:
Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Ensure on-time and complete performance in all operational departments.
Collaborate with other departments to support various projects.
Operational Management:

Support the management team in operational tasks.

Monitor and enhance product volume, yield, and quality.

Engage in ongoing personal development and training.

Attend relevant operations and planning meetings.

Communicate key issues to Shift Managers and other stakeholders.

Utilise Epicor to its full potential.

Report potential product issues to the technical department.

Maintain and manage project proposals requiring financial support.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with strategic goals.

Analyse processes across departments to identify and address inefficiencies.

Develop and execute improvement strategies, including change management.

Lead cross-functional CI project teams and conduct improvement training and workshops.

Assess and adjust the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.

Utilise tools and methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to drive process improvements.

Track and report on continuous improvement activities to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a Continuous Improvement Manager or in a similar role.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficiency in MS Excel.
Strong project management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
