Chief Technology Officer - East Midlands

Salary up to £100,000
This is an exciting new role focused on the design and delivery of digital and data solutions across the organisation. Reporting into the Board / COO, the person appointed will be responsible for planning and delivering a multi-year digital and data transformation programme, leading digital, data & infrastructure teams to achieve this. The CTO will work closely with all corporate functions, helping them to focus on business value and requirements, while delivering sustainable, efficient and elegant solutions that drive business benefit.
The Opportunity
Collaborate with Directors, Heads of Function and the wider organisation to define, lead, and execute the technology, digital & data strategy.
Own the technology, data & digital architecture across the organisation, ensuring the best use of technology and platforms with integration / interoperability key considerations.
Head up a truly effective business partnering model which engages and informs stakeholders, providing them with technology enabled business solutions appropriate for their needs.
Manage a highly motivated and collective technology team, providing the guidance, vision and leadership to the function which is 20-strong.
Act as the trusted advisor providing thought leadership, consultation, and influence on business strategy, increasing digital awareness and cultivate digital literacy throughout the organisation.
Oversee the delivery of technology and services by third party suppliers in a collaborative manner through business-focused SLAs.
Background and Experience
Already operating as a senior digital leader with strong data and technology experience in IT leadership roles, of particular interest is experience within the SME and third sector landscapes.
Able to demonstrate the creation and delivery of successful digital, data and technology strategies in sophisticated organisations which are considered digitally enabled.
Experience of working with Board level stakeholders with a proactive and "business outcomes" focus, translating for them so that they "understand tech".
Background to include the management of outsourced support services and providers, leading merged IT teams and introducing value-added services across the technology landscape.
Track record of working with current core technology / digital practises: audience led, content driven, device and channel neutrality, and dynamic personalisation.
