Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Photonics Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Photonics Engineer specializing in optical and lasers, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of photonics-based systems. You will work closely with senior engineers and researchers to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge technologies, with a primary focus on optical components and laser systems.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, simulation, and testing of optical systems and laser devices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop prototypes and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
Conduct experiments and analyse data to evaluate the performance of photonics devices and systems.
Support the development of new optical components and laser technologies, from concept to commercialization.
Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to address technical challenges.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in photonics technology and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Document experimental procedures, results, and findings in technical reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related field.
Solid understanding of optics principles, laser physics, and photonics devices.
Hands-on experience with optical design software (e.g., Zemax, Code V) and simulation tools.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ for data analysis and automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Prior experience with optical testing techniques and laboratory equipment is desirable.
