Sales Manager | Preston | Working hours are Mon – Thurs 8:15 am – 4:45 pm and Friday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm | Starting salary £42,500.00 per year

The Sales Manager will be focused on the support, management, process and sale of all product ranges and services. This is to individuals, businesses and government organisations. Sales may be domestic (within the UK), international, or a combination of both.
As well as approaching potential customers with the aim of winning new business, the team will strive to maintain good relationships with existing clients, gaining repeat business wherever possible.
Are you the right person for the job?
Previous experience in a commercial driven sales role is fundamental
We would like candidates with at least 2+ years’ experience in a people management role. With strong skills in performance management and building a strong team
A natural rapport builder with both customers and internal stakeholders
Must be able to work to deadlines and deliver against expectations
Must be self-motivated
Must be able to work against multiple objectives
Must be driven and want to exceed given targets
Strong analytical skills are desirable
Strong track record with working cross-functionally to develop and deliver on strategic plans is highly desirable
Must possess managerial skills to effectively organise time, communicate and direct the sales team
What will your role look like?
Responsible for the management of sales colleagues, performing regular appraisals, managing performance and supporting with training/competence
Responsible for the overall sales and marketing function, reporting to key business areas on Sales and marketing Performance
Responsible for co-ordination and management of Sales and marketing budgeting
Creation and implementation of a new Sales and marketing Strategy in line with overall Group strategy
Responsible for sales forecasts and projections
Creation of value adding sales reports for the Board of Directors and wider Management Team on a monthly basis
Actioning of regular pricing reviews to ensure our pricing is updated and in line with market trends
Maintaining accurate records, recording sales and order information in our Primary business system Dynamics AX
Responsible for setting/implementing Team Targets/KPIs within sales function to support business growth
Attending management meetings monthly to provide sales insights for the Board and Management team
Responsible for the “tone of voice” within our sales function, across telephony, CRM and correspondence
Attending potential customer visits and the associated planning/review processes associated with converting them into active customers. (as and when required)
Management of large or complex RFQs/tender processes along with dedicated sales team support
Responsible for establishing and developing new business opportunities with customers. Working with Technical and production as a strategic lead
Responsible for ensuring our Sales function complies with the business quality system and management of the Contract Review process
