Role description
Holiferm is looking for a Business Development Innovator to drive down manufacturing costs, improve sustainability and bring new molecules through from ideation to market as part of a technology team. The applicant will be heavily involved in setting priorities and goals, then taking whatever approach is needed, primarily from a BD perspective, to deliver against them. The applicant should expect to have a broad picture perspective, finding and driving collaborations with both internal and external partners both inside and outside of the applicant’s field of knowledge.
What You’ll Do at Holiferm
Setting priorities and goals
Understand the key company drivers and priorities, particularly calculating the potential impacts of different collaborations on ROI, profitability and LCA.
Work as part of the team setting project goals.
Driving goals to completion
Finding innovative solutions to solve problems through collaborating with partners.
Finding new opportunities to apply our technology with partners.
Delivering determinedly and being prepared to get practically involved across a variety of areas such as engineering, supply chain, finances as well as BD.
Working with partners
Work with other departments in Holiferm to support commercialisation- e.g. commercial team for initial market feedback, projects team for implantation of new cost-saving technology on plant, supply chain for new feedstocks. This role will have a strong link with the commercial team, working with them to learn from the market and find new collaborators.
Building relationships and negotiating agreements with external partners for JDAs and other partnerships.
What You’ve Done Before
Demonstrated ability to initiate win-win collaborations with partners including JDAs.
Demonstrated ability to drive collaborations leading to EBIT or cost savings. We would expect this to range from £s to £Ms depending on the applicant’s experience.
It is preferred but not necessary to have done these in the biochemical sector.
