Siemens Healthineers is seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Technical Support Engineer - Ultrasound. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of a home and field-based engineer, where expertise in both on-site and remote troubleshooting and support will be pivotal in driving the customer experience.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for managing field service activities performed by external partners, providing technical assistance to customers remotely, and coordinating on-site visits when necessary.
In this Technical Support Engineer role, you can expect to:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in your region, manage service incidents and create and allocate tickets in the Service Management System

Pre-clarify customer issues, provide remote technical assistance and troubleshooting and determine if on-site intervention is required

Offer remote, guidance to customers and partner onsite field engineers, instructing them on necessary steps to resolve issues effectively and efficiently

Utilise remote access tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems

Create quotes and cost estimates for customers requiring in-field actions
To apply for this Technical Support Engineer role, you will need an HNC in Engineering or a related field and proven experience as a Remote Support Engineer or supporting engineers/customers remotely. You will also require the following:

Strong technical knowledge in the medical device industry, specifically ultrasound

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage and coordinate activities with external partner field service engineers

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

Proficiency in using remote access tools and diagnostic equipment.
