We are recruiting for a Waste Service Manager here at South Holland District Council.
Based at the operational Depot in Spalding, this role comes with a remit that includes the delivery of refuse, recycling and garden waste services across South Holland. The postholder will have experience of managing waste and fleet maintenance services, implementing service improvements, leading on health and safety, and managing budgets.
We're looking for someone who can drive efficiency, harness new technologies, and identify opportunities to collaborate with other Service Managers across the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership. You will be financially and politically astute with a focus on service improvements, fleet compliance and commercial opportunities.
It is an exciting time to join the team as we plan and implement the requirements of the Environment Act 2021. You will be part of a supportive team working together across the Partnership region to introduce improvements to the waste service across the district.
What we need from you:

Experience of leading and managing a waste service.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.

Experience of effective management of the health, safety and welfare of employees.

Full Cat B driving licence

Proficient in IT skills, and data analysis
