Educated Appointments are delighted to be assisting one of England's largest providers of further and higher education to recruit a Carpentry & Joinery Work Based Trainer, based in East Riding.
Based from home with travel to and from learners workplaces, the Carpentry & Joinery Work Based Trainer will teach, learn, coach and assess apprentices through their programme ensuring they have the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours.
The Carpentry & Joinery Work Based Trainer will develop their skills in teaching, learning, assessment and coaching to manage a caseload of apprentices, progressing and promoting positive outcomes for apprentices through to completion.
Experience within the Carpentry & Joinery sector is essential with applicants needing to hold a Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in Site Carpentry. No previous experience of teaching, coaching or assessing is required with full training and qualifications being given.
Candidates need to have a full driving license and DBS checks will be carried out on appointment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of apprentices ensuring that they achieve in a timely manner against their agreed learning plan.

Work with colleagues to support and facilitate learning where necessary to ensure apprentices are engaged and on target to achieve their programme.

Create plans to ensure apprentices are caught up to achieve timely if they have fell behind.

Monitor Apprenticeships progression and ensure that teaching, learning, assessment and coaching is completed to fulfil their requirements to achieve EPA.

Ensure all Apprentices are seen in line with our standard operating procedures and funding rules.

Engage with employer and apprentice keeping them up to date with progress and highlighting and concerns.

Take part in CPD activities where necessary to support personal development and awarding organisations.

Engage with employers and other stakeholders to maintain caseload of learners by attracting new business.

Attend meetings / 1:1 and other scheduled appointments as required.

Promote and monitor equality of opportunity and safe working practice, being a sounding board for good practice.

Ensure you embed the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) is fully implemented across the provision.

Be an advocate to teaching and learning, actively promoting the attitudes and behaviours that expected for an outstanding quality of education experience.

Facilitate the delivery of functional skills to support apprentices in achieving in a timely manner.

Facilitate use of e-portfolio to evidence and track progress.

Liaise with faculty colleagues where appropriate to ensure co-ordinated delivery of learning.

Undertake progress reviews with apprentices and employers in line with agreed targets.

Maintain and undertake new learning to support knowledge of apprenticeship standards and end point assessment criteria
