The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environment Manager to join our Fortem team. This role will be covering several branch locations including Kent, Rushden and Chippenham in the South West. Therefore, we are basing the role from Slough as a central point to these locations, but this could be flexible.
The Project
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing the Regional Health, Safety & Environment team and support the Director for HSE
• Provide cover for the other Regional Manager when required
• Provide monthly board reports
• Organise work activity and prioritisation for region
• Provide guidance and advice to branches ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies
• Undertake accident investigations and reporting
• Create tailored training material
• Carry out staff and trades induction and training
Essential And Desirable Criteria
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
Essential:
• NVQ L5 or Diploma in H&S Management
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• SMTS Certificate
• Relevant environmental qualification
• Minimum of 3 years relevant sector experience
Desirable:
• Membership of professional institute
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection
Personal Qualities
Some flexibility in working patterns is to be expected and a full driving license is essential, along with the willingness to travel regularly.
