Working Days and Hours:

The client needs someone for 30 hours per week, the client may consider candidates who need to work 37.5 hours (this is not guaranteed, 30 hours per week are at this stage)

Monday to Friday working hours from 7am to 6pm (7.5 hours on the days the successful candidate works, our client is fairly flexible on the actually start and finish times depending on the candidate’s situation).

Weekends may be included so the suitable candidate will need to be flexible to work weekends when required.
Duties

The successful candidate will ensure daily, weekly and monthly aims and objectives are achieved in line with Management and Trust’s expectations and Policy

To provide a catering, housekeeping, portering and linen service to the Hospital.

To assist the Hotel Services Manager in the recruitment of Hotel Services staff as required to ensure compliance with Trust Policy.

To ensure all staff complete relevant induction and training requirements for their posts within the department. To assist the Senior Hotel Services Manager to review all housekeepers, catering and portering staff in relation to competencies, training needs and career development. To ensure all records are kept up to date.

To ensure the safe storage/handling of all food items including Cook-Chill/Cook-Freeze meals, the correct regeneration and service of Cook-Chill/Cook-Freeze meals, ensuring compliance with Trust Policy and current legislation.

The safe handling of all monies taken in accordance with Trust Policy.

To maintain a hygienic and clean condition of the service user environment providing supervision to Hotel Services staff.

To oversee and coordinate Hotel services staff and to assist in the delivery of portering, housekeeping and catering on a day to day basis.

To report all sightings of pest issues to the designated site contact.

Reporting maintenance faults to the maintenance provider.

Ensure all information regarding service users and staff is kept confidential.

Liaise with the Senior Hotel Services Manager, Wards Managers and other Ward Staff, Departmental staff, or other agencies as required or requested by the Senior Hotel Services Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Previous supervisory experience in a cleaning/catering/portering environment
