Hire Desk Controller
We have a huge catalogue of plant and equipment that we use to self-deliver on our projects across London.
As a Hire Desk Controller, with our Support Services team, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage hires and off-hires, including cross hires and related invoices.
Book in assets and materials.
Manage statutory exchanges (PAT testing, calibration, etc.).
Handle consumable sales.
Coordinate movement and equipment requests.
Manage site damage and loss, end of hire charges.
Address breakdowns and failures by communicating with suppliers (both internal and external), coordinating repairs and replacements, and managing costs and refunds appropriately.
Ensure the best usage of internally owned equipment.
Respond promptly to information requests and provide regular updates if unable to resolve promptly.
Prepare daily summary emails, including certificates and other relevant documents
Provide previous day summaries and exceptions.
Generate weekly summaries.
About you:
At least 2+ years' experience in a similar role within a Plant Hire environment
Proven experience in a customer service role
Strong excel skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ideally you will have experience in handling equipment, plant and different machinery
Experience using Coins software would be desirable but not essential
Proactive and solution-oriented approach to dealing with breakdowns and failures.
