Russell Taylor Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for a full time Projects/ Contracts Manager, based in Reading.
As their Prime Residential Projects/ Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of high-end residential projects from £500k to £5m, from inception to completion. Your role will involve managing all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate closely with architects, designers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure that every aspect of the project meets our exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of various construction sites, ensuring that all work is completed according to the project plan and schedule.
•Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout the construction process, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
•Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of site personnel, subcontractors, and tradespeople, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
•Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns to ensure client satisfaction.
•Health & Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
•Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
•Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, schedules, and reports.
•Reporting: working closely with the Managing Director
Requirements:
•Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing high-end residential construction projects.
•Qualifications: Current SMSTS, Temporary Works and First Aid Certificate as a MINIMUM. Preferably degree/ CIOB qualified, trade background also considered.
•Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate complex projects.
•Planning: Preparing and monitoring of all programmes as required, must be capable of using Microsoft Projects, Asta, Excel or equivalent.
•Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering projects to the highest standards of quality. Preparation

•Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes relevant to high-end residential projects.
