About the role of planner
Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting a national main contractor in their search for a Planner/Senior. The role is for a planner who can look after the refurbishments of various projects including MOJ, Defence and residential projects of up to 15 million pounds, this will start as a temporary contract and may continue to a permanent contract. This role will be based in Rainham, which is in the heart of Essex.
Responsibilities for planner
The Planner will be in charge of different schemes, these may include the following types of projects: residential, MOJ and defence.
They will be expected to create and manage their own programme using Microsoft projects
The Planner will also be reporting to a planning manager for the duration of the project and submitting regular updates on a weekly basis
The planner will be working for a tier 1 contractor who work as a global contractor throughout the assignment.
Requirements for Planner
Comfortable with planning software and tools (Microsoft Project).
Competence in earned value management and reporting.
Actively feed into and develop project risk registers in line with live schedule updates.
Analysis of project risk and estimating.
Commercial awareness (e.g. planning requirements, change control/compensation events/cost control).
Thorough knowledge of NEC3 contracts.
Experience with Residential, MOJ, Defence
