The Role
We are currently looking for a Training Manager to join our Fortem team based in Nottingham. Please note, this position is a 1 year fixed-term contract for maternity leave cover.
We are looking for someone who is confident, drive and passionate to drive forward all training needs.
The Training Manager will support us in building an outstanding reputation for the delivery of a high quality, effective and innovative learning which provides a cost-effective and agile training solution for all our people.
The Project
Reporting to the Director of HR you will work with key stakeholders within and outside of Fortem to design, improve, maintain and deliver mandatory and development training, to improve the skills within our people.
Your Responsibilities will include:
• Line manage the training team to ensure performance and expected values and behaviours
• Ensure high personal and team performance which contributes to the effectiveness of the training team within Fortem
• Focus on delivering projects within Fortem working with key internal and external stakeholders to improve our training offering
• Ensure training budgets are managed effectively
• Help induct all new staff to Fortem as part of our robust induction
Essential And Desirable Criteria
Essential
• Demonstrable experience working in a similar role
• A passion for training and development
• Management experience
• Proactive and solution focused with a high-performance drive
• Responsive, supportive and flexible team player
• Past experience of designing, sourcing and delivering training
• Confidence at presenting information to a range of audience
• Exemplary IT Skills including MS Office and learning management systems
Desirable
• PTLLS or similar qualification
• Previous experience of integrating a new learning management system
