I am looking for a Business Development Manager from an earthworks/material handling/rail freight background to actively improve turnover of my client's already very successful organisation.
This contractor is one of the UK's leading specialists in earthworks. material handling, logistics and heavy equipment optimisation.
The successful applicant will be well educated from either a Rail Freight, Port Freight, Material Handling or similar type logistics type blue chip business.
You'll be responsible for existing customer relationships, forming new customer relationships for long term strategic partnerships / framework type works within the rail freight & port freight material handling markets, tier 1 construction materials producers and tier 1 infrastructure providers.
Applicants must have a great work ethic and be able to produce CRM reports and be a dynamic and well-presented people person.
This role would / could be hybrid as the BDM would be travelling the length and breadth of the UK with targeted customer visits and the like-although my client is based in Essex you will have the choice of working arrangement- if you live a distance away from there, office visits will only be as and when required for meetings etc..
You could work from home 3/4 days per week realistically, maybe more.
