Who we need
We are seeking a dedicated People Services Team Leader to join our HR shared service team.
The shared services team assist with a huge variety of queries, requests and any issues within the college from our employees, from starters to leavers and everything in between.
As the People Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the People Services shared service inbox, organising team workload, as well as carrying an administration workload yourself, supporting on our more complex queries.
The role requires an understanding of HR processes, exceptional organisation and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our managers and colleagues across the college.
You will be the essential link between line managers and our administration function, ensuring seamless operations so having experience in stakeholder management is essential for this role.
Whilst this role does not include employee relations and casework, there is opportunity to get involved with our People Services Business Partnering team if there is a desire to gain experience in this area.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for someone who can manage a fast-paced environment, with periods of high traffic at peak times, such as payroll or start of term time. The ideal candidate will be able to remain calm under pressure, supporting the People Services team to prioritise workload to ensure our colleagues receive accurate responses, documentation and pay in a timely manner.
We are looking for someone with the below experience:

Extensive HR administration (we're looking for previous experience in roles such as HR Administrator, HR Team Leader, HR Generalist, HR Advisor)

Line management or team leadership

Payroll and pensions administration

Experience working in the Education sector is also desirable, but not essential.
