Principal People are exclusively supporting a manufacturing company who are looking for a new member to join the business. The company are looking for a Health and Safety Manager and the position will consist of managing the Health and Safety for an International company.
The role will be very operational and will involve a lot of ‘hands on’ Health and Safety throughout the site teams. You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who are all incredibly engaged towards Health and Safety. The role will be instrumental in developing and applying a positive safety strategy across the company. You will be leading a team of 4 x Health and Safety Advisors.

Health and Safety Manager – £60,000 - £70,000 + Package – Manufacturing – Newport
The key duties include:
Offering appropriate advice and support to the site teams within Health and Safety matters.
Implementing practical and effective methods to promote awareness to Health and Safety.
To carry out operational Health and Safety duties such as risk assessments, method statements and accident investigations on the sites.
Working on a Health and Safety Strategy and implementing it across the sites.
Managing the Health and Safety for the whole company.
Creating positive relationships with the site teams to help improve the HSE Culture across the sites.

We would love to see CV’s from people who have:
A NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma level preferred).
A Manufacturing, Fabrication and Engineering Background.
Experience with working with all aspects of HSEQ.
Experience of leading a team within Health and Safety.
The drive and passion for Health and Safety Development and Improvement.
