Job Summary:
We are currently representing a role on behalf of our client based in the East Yorkshire region.
The Role:
- This is the opportunity to join an exciting business within the food manufacturing industry, where you will responsible for co-ordinating and implementing the company’s procurement strategy for purchases in support of the strategic growth plan while also managing the overall day-to-day purchasing function of the business.
Main Duties:

Negotiate overall best terms ensuring that the supply base and product meet the required business objectives.

Overall responsibility for ensuring the business has a supply of ingredients and packaging within the targeted levels set for the business.

Manage and challenge suppliers on their performance based on value for money, quality and delivery service level.

Source new suppliers in line with the business sourcing and sustainability strategy.

Identify and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers.

Analyse market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
Person Specification:

Experience in a procurement role within a food manufacturing setting.

Strong negotiation, communication, influencing, and relationship building skills.

Knowledge of procurement processes and experience within categories, contract law and commodity or base raw material tracking methods
