Role: Sales Account Manager
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Location: Burnley
Hours: 7:45am - 5pm Mon - Thurs and 7:45-1pm Fri
Tailor Made are excited to be recruiting for a leading engineering company in Burnley. They are a well-established and are leader in their field. They are seeking a Sales Account Manager to join their busy sales team.
As the Sales Account Manager, this role requires someone who can think and work on their own initiative in a fast-paced environment, coupled with this you will also have to influence the business to meet client expectations, and highlight any risks commercially, contractually, and technically that could impact the company.
The role:
Lead, plan, and execute all account management and development activities in respect of nominated customer relationships
Navigate complex organisations (global where necessary), building and nurturing relationships at all levels
Ability to lead, manage and resolve commercial, supply disputes, engineering challenges and delivery of mutually beneficial resolution solutions with all customers
Generating accurate sales pipeline forecasting
Expanding accounts by moving to new departments and business areas with set customers
Work with the engineering and NPI teams to identify, plan and communicate all customer activities
Support negotiation terms of business with the customers
Ensure two-way contract adherence between the company and the customer base
Management of all new enquiries, feasibility through to quotation and successful order intake
Contract review of all incoming purchase orders
Knowledge of sales, pricing, and business models
Demonstrate success in performing against revenue targets
Ability to influence internal stakeholders at all levels and strong ability to build relationships
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Good understanding of competitors, market analysis experience
Provide both a reactive and proactive service to the customer base
Identify potential new growth and customer opportunities
Generate new accounts and sales opportunities
Set up meetings between new company's practice leaders/Principals
Review and identify potential trade shows, exhibitions for which to visit and exhibit at
Manage existing business accounts and relationships
Support to drive a 15% yr. on yr. growth plan with current/new clients
Pricing accuracy number of price list queries and £'s (Debits)
About you:
Account management or other relevant experience
All aspects of perusing and obtaining new contracts from existing clients and new customers
Understanding the needs and challenges of new and current customers to retain contracts
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and customers at a time while paying strict attention to detail
Experience from within an existing industry ideally automotive
Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
Articulate, confident communicator and presenter at all levels
All different forms of communications and presenting.
Appropriate methods for a variety of situations.
Effective people management and key stakeholder relationships
Ability to work within set budgets, expectations and deliver results
Comprehensive understanding and experience of all pricing metrics
Excellent Microsoft excel knowledge and ability to use all Microsoft base packages
