We are seeking a diligent and proactive Business Support Officer (Level 4) to join our Children's Services team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to enable the wider team to fulfill statutory obligations related to childcare and early education.
Key Responsibilities:

Early Education and Childcare Provision:

Support the implementation and administration of funded early education for 0-4-year-olds.

Assist in the rollout of new entitlements for 2-year-olds (effective April 2024) and under 2 funding (effective September 2024).

Help ensure sufficient childcare places are available to meet current and forecasted demand, addressing a shortfall of 452 places by September 2025.

Facilitate the setup of wraparound care so families can access childcare between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM during term time if required.

Administrative Support:

Manage incoming emails in shared inboxes, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.

Perform finance-related tasks using Agresso, including budget tracking and expense processing.

Utilize Capita for various back-office functions and handling enquiries.

Organize and manage diaries for team members, scheduling meetings, and coordinating events.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar administrative support role, preferably within a social or healthcare setting.

Familiarity with early education funding and childcare provision requirements.

Proficiency in using administrative systems such as Agresso and Capita.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
