About us
Both our homes are registered with Ofsted for two young people with Behaviour and Emotional problems. We work in a Therapeutic manner providing young people with consistency in their day-to-day care, working with a variety of professionals to ensure the best positive outcomes for young people.

The role of Deputy Manager:
As Deputy Manager you will ensure that good quality care is delivered to the children and young people in the home. You will have responsibility alongside the Registered manager for recruitment, training, supervision, placements, care plans, audits and working with multidisciplinary teams.
Working times: 38 hours including 1 sleepover shift per week
Pay: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour

Key responsibilities:
Supporting the Needs of Children and Young People
Promote and ensure the delivery of a safe and Ofsted compliant home that is underpinned by a structured and nurturing environment.
To actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the young people within your care.
To contribute to the development of appropriate relationships with and between staff, young people, families and other stakeholders including education, health and therapy.
Management and Leadership
Ensure that staff are aware of the individual needs of all young people and skilled to deliver the support required to ensure life chance opportunities and positive holistic development.
Develop and make known to staff a variety of intervention strategies that support the environment regarding behaviour management and the promotion of pro-social behaviour.
Regulatory and Administrative ·
Ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities in relation to adherence of policies, both in the home, the organisation and those set out in Children's Legislation and Regulations.
To be involved in recruitment of staff including vetting, interviewing and inducting new employees.
Ensure that a robust process of internal monitoring and critical reflection is maintained with a view to complying with regulation and the continual development of the service and the organisation as a whole
Essential criteria:
Positive person.
Previous Team leader experience in a children’s care setting
Willing to be a team player.
NVQ 3 – Level 3 Diploma (QCF) qualified in Children and Young People’s workforce (or equivalent)
Professional manner at all times.
Child-focused Team
Great sense of humour
Good role model for young people
Flexible.
Driver with use of car
Considerable evidence of working with young people in a residential setting or relevant setting
Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children
