Job Description: Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Care

Job Duties:
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the children's residential care facility
Provide support and guidance to staff in delivering high-quality care to children
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies
Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans
Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff
Handle administrative tasks and maintain accurate records
Required Qualifications:
Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
Prior supervisory experience in children's residential care
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience in an EBD setting
Education:
Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
Experience:
Prior supervisory experience in children's residential care
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of regulatory standards and policies in children's residential care
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
First Aid and Safeguarding training certifications
Working Conditions:
Work in a residential care setting with children
May require evening, weekend, and on-call availability
Potential exposure to challenging behaviours and emotional situations
