Our Client is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the electrical engineering sector. With a focus on growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join the team and drive their business to the next level.
Position Summary: As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of the business in line with our clients five-year financial plan. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, especially in non-core areas, and aligning sales objectives with our company's growth strategy. This role will involve promoting synergy between their operations in India and the UK, as well as exploring new markets and sectors.
The role is Hybrid with occasional visits to the companies offices in the Lake District required
Key Responsibilities:

Develop new business opportunities, products, and markets, including identifying and engaging with new customers and sales agents.

Assist in technical sales activities, particularly in utility, industrial, renewable energy, and railway applications.

Promote our engineering service offerings to OEMs, EPCs, and end-users in various sectors.

Meet marketing KPIs and continuously improve performance in non-core business areas.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior managers, customers, channel partners, and prospects.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order execution, customer coordination, and contract closure.

Establish effective communication channels and review mechanisms between UK and India teams to drive synergy and business growth.

Enhance customer response and conversion rates through proactive sales, marketing, and business development activities.

Expand market reach domestically and internationally, developing new customer relations and promoting joint interests.

Working closely with Engineering Director to develop client relatinships
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BE/B Tech) would is prefered but not essential

Minimum of 15 years of sales experience, preferably some experience in the Protection and Switchgear industry

Proven track record of developing new business in the UK Transmission & Distribution market
