We are seeking a dedicated Specialist ASD/Communication and Interaction Teacher to join a vibrant school in Sevenoaks for a fixed-term period of one year.
This is a unique opportunity to provide specialist support to a small group of identified EYFS and Key Stage 1 pupils with ASD and/or Communication and Interaction needs.

Key Responsibilities of a Special Needs Teacher:
Provide tailored educational support to approximately 6-8 children in a newly-formed provision within the school.
Work mornings only, ensuring focused and effective teaching sessions.
Develop and implement individualised learning plans that meet the specific needs of pupils with ASD and Communication and Interaction difficulties.
Collaborate with other specialists and team members to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and assess pupil's progress, adapting strategies as necessary to achieve the best outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills required of a Special Needs Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in primary education.
Specialisation or significant experience in working with pupils with ASD and Communication and Interaction needs.
Strong understanding of the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
