The role
Orbit are delighted to announce that we are looking to recruit a Digital Marketing Officer. As an integral part of the Customer Experience team, the Digital Marketing Officer will deliver our digital customer acquisition and retention strategies and digital customer content strategy, with a focus on embedding our Customer Promise and creating a positive customer experience.
Working closely with Orbit Group’s Digital Operations team, the Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible for reviewing insight and data including customer journey maps, UX reports and performance statistics and ensuring the customer digital marketing strategy is effective and delivers ROI.
This role is part of Corporate Services where you'll help us give colleagues the support they need to be brilliant.
What you'll achieve
Some of your key responsibilities will be to:
Understand Orbit’s business strategy and ensure the digital marketing activity supports business objectives, by working closely with Orbit’s Digital Operations team and the Group Digital Marketing & Brand teams to ensure strategies are aligned and complimentary.
Take ownership for the delivery of the digital customer marketing plan, by working with key stakeholders within the organisation to ensure digital customer marketing activity boosts awareness and take-up of Orbit’s services, while also driving customer experience.
Take responsibility for ensuring digital content on the customer channels aligns with the Orbit customer brand and tone of voice guidelines and is considered accessible and inclusive for all customers.
Rigorously evaluate all customer digital marketing activity and spend to ensure that it delivers maximum ROI. Produce regular reports to monitor effectiveness and share with the business to build understanding of the marketing impact.
Support the implementation of Orbit’s Customer Promise, by leading on the delivery of a customer-first digital customer marketing strategy.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience within customer focussed digital marketing communications across multiple channels, including email marketing, SEO and PPC.
Essential skills
Educated to degree level in Digital Marketing or a related discipline
Experience of working in a customer digital marketing or communications role (min 3 years)
Experience in producing end-to-end marketing campaigns using a multi-channel approach
Experience of working with CRM systems and proficient in email marketing
Sound CMS knowledge
Experience of writing for web/ digital
Strategic thinker with ability to turn insights into actions
Creative confidence, with experience of creating content or leading on a content strategy across a range of channels
Desirable skills
Previous use of email software, Power BI, Dynamics 365
Good understanding of GDPR
Flexibility to travel to different sites and undertake occasional overnight stays
