Industry leading manufacturing organisation in Gloucester is seeking a Finance Manager. You will be a qualified accountant and ideally have experience in the manufacturing industry or similar. This role will be supporting developments, improving management information, running the management accounts and leading a small team. With new investment in the business, there is lots of opportunity for progression.
Responsibilities will include:
Working closely with wider stakeholders within the business to understand their reporting requirements and help implement the management information framework
Understand the strengths and weaknesses of the current standard costing and management reporting framework and work with the business
Perform root cause analysis to gain an understanding of process control and what "good" looks like.
Set up weekly / monthly efficiency variance reporting and price variance reporting
Working capital management - setting up of review processes and calculating KPIs
Review sales contracts to ensure revenue recognition
Profit and loss account preparation
Monthly accruals and prepayments, including stock
Intercompany accounting, raising of intercompany monthly invoices and reconciliation
VAT return / intrastat submissions
Ad hoc projects
Your Profile:
CIMA / ACCA Qualified
Ideally manufacturing or similar experience
Excellent Excel skills
