Blue Water Recruitment are currently recruiting a H&S Manager to join a Housing Developer in South Wales.
The successful candidate will be based in their Swansea Office but will be covering multiple sites in South Wales and England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that safety systems and plans meet the relevant safety standards.
- Ensure that safety issues are discussed at project review meetings.
- Advise and guide all relevant personnel in setting up and maintaining safety systems.
- Keep clear records to comply with company intern audit standards.
- Assist managers with safety submissions, risk assessments and method statements.
- Communicate and promote the health & safety management ethos and concepts
- Delivering training.
- Ensure that the project is working to the relevant statutory health & safety documentation.
- Prepare monthly reports and submit in agreed format
- Carry out site safety inspections.
- Identify areas for improvement and issues, submitting to project team.
- Monitor the adequacy of accident inspection and reporting.
- Carry out safety audits.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor or Manager within the construction industry
- Able to deliver Health & Safety training to site personnel.
- Qualification in Occupational Health & safety (NEBOSH & IOSH)
- Able to communicate at all levels within the project organisation.
- Thorough knowledge of OHSAS 45001 standards.
- Capable of leading accident investigations
- CSCS card
