Our client is looking for a building surveyor to join them on a temporary contract lasting until November 2024. In this role you will provide a customer focused, high quality, response repairs and voids maintenance service, positively engaging, liaising with tenants, leaseholders and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake routine remedial survey work, undertaking pre and post inspections of voids and response repair maintenance.
Raise voids and response repair work orders, including scheduling orders resulting from such pre and post inspections. This will include liaising with contractors as required, including arranging joint inspections with contractors where necessary.
Investigate and resolve insurance claims, boundary disputes, tenant's improvement, tenant's disrepair claims, and major damp and similar items of work, in conjunction with other BCP staff, as required.
Prepare specifications, schedules of work and cost/estimates where required ensuring that all work orders / contracts comply with appropriate legislation, codes of practice, British/European standards, Poole Standard, the Council's standing Orders and financial regulations.
Assist in contract procurement and contract management activities as required by the Head of Maintenance.You will need:
