Role Overview:
As a Freelance Site Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of an existing construction site involving a large amount of MEP work. The project itself is the internal refurbishment of a large portion of a big student accommodation build, with works including the refurb of the air handling units as well as other MEP focussed packages and some minor construction works throughout. From coordinating subcontractors to ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, you'll drive project success and maintain this companies’ high standards of quality and safety. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, gain valuable experience, and showcase your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This project runs until late October and there is other similar project starting at the same time, making this a very long term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
Monitor project progress and budget, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry.
MEP project experience
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Safety conscious, with an eye for detail, ability to read a programme, and a cooperative attitude.
Relevant qualifications and certifications (e.g., CSCS card, SMSTS certificate, First Aid, etc). About the Company:
